Title: Crystal Maze, The (£35)
Plenty of variety, with a wide range of puzzle and skill games (although
the 'physical' games are a bit dodgy) but whoever attempted to write the music
must be tone deaf! Unbelievably this game which features such lovely graphics has an
incredibly bad rendition of the TV music. It suddenly goes very
weird after several seconds in the crystal dome. Strangely, despite a good game
until this point the crystal dome game itself is very dodgy - it is completely
uncontrollable and utterly devoid of skill.

Game so garish in some sections it makes Starfighter 3000 look like
it uses pastel shades. Strange mix of action and text adventure.

Title: DarkWood (£25)
3D arcade adventure game with some impressive camera movements and graphics which
are by turn excellent and terrible.
A big project for a solo programmer, and at times it shows, but this is
still a great game, which really conveys the sense of a "living game world" in a
way very, very few other games can. Despite a surprisingly small game map the
game manages to pack in quite a few puzzles. If you've played many adventure
games before this is unlikely to take more than about eight hours to complete,
however. Sound is quite limited, although there a couple of good ambient(ish) music
tracks. Harddisc recommended.
