Title: Iron Lord
A curious collection of games joined together by means of a (fairly simple)
graphical adventure game, with varying music and graphics throughout. The games
range from various sport simulators, through two methods of exploration, to
a complete strategy game! Not bad, although it doesn't take very long to complete. Recently included on an Acorn User cover disc.

Title: James Pond (£26)
This conversion of a successful, but dated, Amiga/console game appears competent
but nasty gameplay bugs on level four onwards make the game unplayable (your
energy is liable to plummet for no apparent reason). If you
want to play this (quite reasonable) game then I suggest you look for a cheap
second-hand Megadrive.

Title: James Pond 2: Robocod (Plus) (£26)
An excellent example of how to take a reasonably good game and convert it
into something substantially less. A tiny screen, flickering raster bars and
jerky movement turn this competent platformer into a game that only the
least-demanding gamers will enjoy. A good game for young children since the
gameplay and the (toy-based) scenario will suit them. If you buy this then make
sure you get the latest "James Pond 2 Plus" version ("plus" means "we've bothered
to finish it", in case you're wondering). The sound works on 16-bit
sound systems, incidentally.

Title: K.V.
Tries to imitate the classic Chuckie Egg and fails dismally.
The lack of variety is so real it just isn't true. Very badly designed, and
a complete lack of anything approaching playability. Avoid.
